DONARTE 2026

Call for abstracts

The Scientific Committee of the V International Conference DONARTE 2026 welcomes the submission of abstracts presenting original contributions in the field of organ donation and transplantation. The three best are presented on Monday 5 October in the Best Abstract DONARTE 2026 Award session.

Required structure

  1. 01TitleShort and specific, in bold, sentence case.
  2. 02IntroductionThe first sentences should state the hypothesis, purpose, or specific objective of the study.
  3. 03MethodsBriefly describe the study design, patients or subjects, procedures, and measurements.
  4. 04ResultsA summary of the results with relevant data.
  5. 05ConclusionA brief statement of conclusion.
  6. 06ReferencesCite in text with square brackets [1]. In the reference list, first author only followed by 'et al' where necessary, then journal, volume, page range and year. Do not include the article title.

Case reports

Case reports and case series may be submitted using the same six components.

Formatting requirements

  • Times New Roman (or equivalent), font size 11, single-spaced
  • Maximum 2,000 characters including spaces. Author names, affiliations, title, tables and figure legends are excluded from the count
  • All abbreviations must be defined at first use, except widely recognized ones
  • Maximum 10 authors. The submitting author is the corresponding author
  • A maximum of 1 table or 1 figure, cited in the text

Awards

The authors of the three best abstracts present their work in the dedicated session on Monday 5 October and receive an award including one free registration to the conference.

All accepted abstracts are published in the Collection Book, which also features artwork, poetry and literary contributions from previous editions.
